- Important update: Starting May 7, 2025, individuals will need an ID document recognized by the federal government in order to fly within the United States. This can be a passport (from any country), a green card, or a work permit, among other federally recognized forms of identification. A REAL ID license or state ID can also be used for flying. However, it is not necessary to have a REAL ID license to be able to drive- a standard driver’s license is still valid for driving purposes!

- The Trump Administration has put in place a number of policies that will make it harder for individuals – especially those who are not represented by legal counsel – to have their asylum claims reviewed and successfully defend themselves from deportation.
- The Supreme Court will hear arguments on the birthright citizenship executive order on May 18. However, the Court is not expected to review the validity of the executive order. Instead, the Court is being asked to decide whether the lower federal courts had the ability to block the executive order from taking place nationwide.
