New American integration Program (NAIP) Coordinator

MIRA is looking for a part-time (20 hours/week) coordinator to join the New American Integration Program team to promote the impact of NAIP to potential funders, applicants and in recognition of current members and alumni. The New American Integration Program provides service opportunities for AmeriCorps members to promote economic opportunity among refugees and immigrants through ESOL, citizenship assistance and job readiness. The position reports to the Senior Director of the New American Integration Program, and will also work closely with the Director of NAIP.

Essential Job Functions:  Through employee’s own efforts, the New American Integration Program Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Writing quarterly e-newsletter, social media presence and branding for NAIP
  • Recruitment and outreach for diverse applicant pool; attending community-based events as an ambassador for NAIP and for outreach to potential applicants
  • Build alumni engagement
  • Analyze and interpret data for use in promotional materials
  • Support in the planning and facilitation of orientation and training to ensure that members receive effective preparation for their service year
  • Promoting and coordinating collaboration opportunities between Leadership/program staff and AmeriCorps members to ensure effective service delivery
  • Engagement with current and potential members on an ongoing basis, as well as communication with the program directors and site supervisors is essential.

Additional to job functions as needed:

  • Interviewing, onboarding and selection of AmeriCorps Members
  • Provide support in carrying out performance evaluations for AmeriCorps sites.
  • Preparing for AmeriCorps and general programmatic monitoring
  • Collect, review, analyze, and report data on program performance measures
  • Support in additional programmatic activities, as needed
  • Occasional travel for host site visits and training


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required, and minimum 1 year of professional experience; AmeriCorps and NAIP experience preferred.
  • Experience working with a diverse community and a range of community partners, preferably in Massachusetts;
  • Experience with facilitating, public speaking, and training
  • Excellent written communication and public speaking skills; listens to co-workers and outside advisors in order to effectively and efficiently share information and ideas. 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with strong attention to detail; strong organization, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Part-time position (20 hours/week). Starting salary: $25,000.
