Internships at MIRA

All internships are unpaid, but may be used for course credit where applicable. Interns should be able to commit at least two full days for Summer positions (June-Aug), and 2-3 days (or the equivalent) for Fall positions (September-December).

Internship Descriptions:

Communications Internship

The intern will maintain the media database and perform other administrative duties. The intern will help plan and execute media events by contacting reporters and doing logistical work. The intern will also write material for the website, bulletin, and blog. Other duties may be assigned, including longer research projects. Web and communications skills are a plus, and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Development Intern  

Development interns conduct research on a variety of topics (including: funding opportunities, individual donors, and demographic information); assist in organizing fundraising events, meetings and fundraising appeals, as well as general grant writing support for the development team.
