Issues: Immigrant Rights

justicescalesImmigrants do not share the same rights and protections under law as native-born citizens, and the rights they do have are far more easily abrogated by legislation or other government action. Nevertheless, all residents of the United States are to some degree protected by constitutional principles and attendent statutes, and MIRA works with legal service providers and others to defend and strengthen the rights of the foreign-born through all branches of government.

MIRA encourages anyone with knowlegde of the abuse of immigrant rights to contact our Federal Policy Director, Sarang Sekhavat, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 617-350-5480 ext. 212.
