Issues: Immigration Reform
In collaboration with state and national allies, the MIRA Coalition advocates for comprehensive immigration reform and for bills that will address major subsets of our immigration system, like the DREAM Act and AgJOBS bills. We need reform for families torn apart by deportation or inordinate visa delays, for the elimination of a two-tier economy that exploits both the undocumented and native-born workers, and for the restoration of justice and common fairness to our system.
We support legislation that safeguards America, protects workers, upholds human rights, keeps families united, and allows an opportunity for those already rooted within our nation's social and economic fabric to fully integrate into the system by means of becoming residents and then citizens.
