Integration Institute: AmeriCorps Program

The MIRA Coalition, The Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants, and English for New Bostonians have partnered to form the Massachusetts AmeriCorps New American Integration Program (NAIP). Over the past year, 29 AmeriCorps members worked at 27 different immigrant- and refugee-serving organizations in Lynn, Boston and New Bedford. Members commit to a full-time, ten month-long service position while receiving a modest living allowance, health benefits, and training.
NAIP AmeriCorps Members assist immigrants and refugees gain economic stability and more fully participate in our society through improving English skills, becoming US citizens, and connecting with community resources. Through high quality training and experience, NAIP AmeriCorps members, many of whom are from immigrant and refugee communities themselves, are becoming skilled and passionate service providers, educators, interpreters and advocates.
