Events: Democracy School

Every year MIRA Coalition partners with the Wellstone Action to bring to its members and allies a great tool for organizing. The Democracy School is an intensive two day training. Topics range from Immigrant Rights grassroots organizing, civic participation, voter engagement, to power maping and strategy development.

Youth leaders, organizers, community leaders, community members, all can learn essenial skills for better organizing a campaign and strengthening their work.

MIRA Coalition would like to thank the Wellstone Action, and all who participated of the 2011 Democracy School.

On March 25 & 26, MIRA Coalition and the Wellstone Action brought a training for organizers, community leaders, and advocates to build community power thourgh the principles of mobilization. We send a special thanks to SEIU 1199 for generously allowing us to use their amazing space at their local offices in Dorchester.
